STEM Learning Models

10,000 free STEM learning models to students in 385 classrooms

.

With the support of a Government of Saskatchewan Teacher Innovation and Support Fund (TISF) Grant, we have been able to manufacture and deliver 10 000 free STEM learning models to students in over 385 classrooms across the province.

Teachers are provided with a hands on learning activity for each student to complete or take home.  All materials are supported with learning content hosted on our Resource Bank and lessons in mathematics and science are provided, at no cost to classroom teachers.

The project's intent is to show cause for locally manufactured materials that support Saskatchewan's classrooms.  By creating a local option for resource development, we can provide original content at a fraction of the cost found in traditional educational supply catalogs.  Saskatchewan teachers need industries that support their work in a cost friendly manner.  This initiative has received considerable interest from school divisions, the Saskatchewan Teacher's Federation, and even organizations in, and outside the province.  The TISF program provides funding to explore non traditional educational programming and this project exemplifies the ingenuity and creativity that has been a hallmark of Saskathewan teachers and communities for decades.

Students Love It!

Thank you so much for sending the STEM kits to our classrooms. We received our marble run kit earlier this week, and today the students had a chance to try it out, it was a huge success!

The students absolutely loved the activity. It was the perfect level of challenge: engaging without being overwhelming. They especially enjoyed taking the pieces apart and building their own marble runs in different ways.

One of the most rewarding parts was seeing students who don’t usually stand out really shine. Several stepped into leadership roles, helping others and sharing ideas with confidence. It was wonderful to watch.

We truly appreciate the time and effort that went into organizing and sending these kits. They made a real difference in our classroom. Thank you again!
