Our Health Science 20 students came together from across Saskatchewan for a memorable day of learning and connection. While the course usually happens online, meeting in person gave students the chance to build friendships and strengthen their learning in new ways.
The field trip included exploring Indigenous medicinal plants and approaches to health care, giving students a meaningful connection to the curriculum. We also shared time together making bannock, linking to the nutrition outcomes of the course.
The day was filled with hands-on experiences, laughter, and conversations that brought learning to life, showing the value of connecting with each other and the land.
Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre provides Kindergarten to Grade 12 courses to Saskatchewan students who choose to study online. We empower students and families to choose the learning environment that works best for them, while supporting their graduation plan.
