Wild & Wander Club

Ready to get outside, try something new, and explore the natural world around you?

Join Megan Gurski, a Sask DLC teacher and outdoor enthusiast, in getting outside and having your very own adventures this year.

Share your experiences, document your adventures, and connect with other students who enjoy spending time outside.

No experience required. Just bring your curiosity and a willingness to explore!

Get outside. Wander more. Discover more.

Email megan.gurski@saskdlc.ca if you're interested in participating.

The SaskDLC Wild & Wander Club invites students to explore the outdoors, connect with nature, and challenge themselves through monthly outdoor adventures. Each month, students will receive a new nature-based challenge along with optional reflection and journaling prompts.

Activities may include:

  • Hiking and nature walks

  • Nature photography

  • Wildlife observation

  • Geocaching

  • Outdoor challenges

  • Environmental stewardship projects

  • Seasonal scavenger hunts

  • Creative outdoor journaling and sketching

Students will have opportunities to document their experiences through photos, videos, artwork, and written reflections while connecting with fellow outdoor youth enthusiasts from across Saskatchewan.

No previous outdoor experience is required. Whether you're an experienced adventurer or just looking for a reason to spend more time outside, there's a place for you in the club. The focus is on exploration, curiosity, and developing a deeper appreciation for the natural world.

Whether you enjoy camping, fishing, hiking, birdwatching, photography, paddling, or simply spending time outdoors, the Wild & Wander Club offers a fun and flexible way to participate from anywhere in Saskatchewan.

Get outside. Get curious. Wander more. Discover more.

Our first meeting is October 26 from 3:45pm - 4:30pm. This will just be an introduction meeting and then we will discuss schedule moving forward depending sign ups.
